Comfort Alemoru, Director Nutmeg Animations

Comfort started her career in the hospitality industry and in 1988 set up her own travel consultancy. In 1997 she came across an opportunity to combine her two loves of travel and entertainment when she attended the first Acapulco Black Film Festival and was consequently appointed to promote it in the UK. She expanded into accounting and film finance and joined Studio Eight Productions as Financial Controller and later Peace Arch Films, managing their corporate accounts and assisting with production. Working closely with the producers at Studio Eight and Peace Arch Films over ten years she acquired a wealth of experience that has helped her with her first solo producing role on Nutmeg.

Olu Alemoru, Director Nutmeg Animations

Hailing from the soccer-mad city of his beloved Manchester United, Olu Alemoru is a writer and journalist with an endless creative imagination that has propelled him to follow his dreams. A keen interest in news and current affairs at an early age led him to study politics at Greenwich University in London where he soon developed a passion for humour and satirical writing for the college magazine. His first editorial role was as a reporter at The Voice Newspaper, rising to the post of Features Editor. Alongside his journalist roles he honed his writing skills and penned his own comedy show in the late 90’s with comedienne Angie La Mar. Stay tooned for a slew of interesting projects. They include: “The Adventures of Ant Dog,” about a lovable looser who wins a million-dollar seat on the first ever commercial space flight “The Flight of the Cranes,” a screenplay chronicling the trials and tribulations of a black financial whizz, and “Top Man,” a black James Bond spoof.

Clive Taylor, Illustrator

His uncle, a portrait artist, taught him how to draw a face when he was 7. From then, you couldn’t stop his passion for illustration. His inspirations originally came from Marvel comics and Disney cartoons, but as he grew older, he took inspiration from almost anything that caught his eye. He studied Art & Design in Leyton College from 1997-1999, then took an interest in Graphic Design from 2000, studying in various academies until he graduated with honors at Middlesex University in 2005. Since then he has worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, designing anything from name badges to movie posters. When he’s not working on Nutmeg, he’s working on his own clothing label. “My mind won’t stop working, I have to get the ideas out in some way. Nutmeg is going to be brilliant. Stay tuned.”

Billy Pittson, Graphic Designer
